What observation methods does MRV-MSL support?

MRV-MSL supports three observation methods: crossed-Nicols, parallel-Nicols and sensitive color (sensitive tint) observation. These methods allow qualitative inspection of residual stress and birefringence in transparent materials.

Can MRV-MSL be attached to an existing stereo microscope?

Yes. The MS-MU filter holder supports objective lens outside diameters up to 61 mm and can be attached to most stereo microscopes. Complete sets with a recommended zoom stereo microscope are also available.

What makes the flat panel LED different from a conventional box-type LED illuminator?

The LED-TR02W flat panel LED is only 8.5 mm thick and provides large-area uniform illumination. Conventional box-type illuminators may have uneven brightness, especially at the edges. The flat panel design ensures consistent illumination regardless of sample size or position.
