The RH41 Blue to IR Series is a handy mobile LED flashlight using a 41 LED array. It covers selected visible and near-infrared wavelengths from 405 nm to 940 nm, making it useful for fluorescence excitation, optical inspection, NIR illumination and handheld testing.

The flashlight format is convenient when the sample is large, irregularly shaped or difficult to place under a fixed excitation light source. For fluorescence work, select the wavelength according to the fluorophore, specimen, emission filter and observation system.

Wavelength Notes

405 nm	Violet LED wavelength for selected fluorescence excitation, optical inspection and general short-wavelength visible illumination. Use an appropriate emission filter when fluorescence contrast is required.
590 / 625 / 660 nm	Visible yellow to red LED wavelengths for inspection, wavelength screening and illumination of samples or optical components.
850 / 940 nm	Near-infrared LED wavelengths for NIR illumination and sensor or camera testing. These wavelengths are generally not visible to the human eye, so a compatible camera or detector is normally required.

Filter note: For fluorescence observation, the excitation wavelength should be selected together with an emission filter. For NIR applications, confirm that the camera or detector has sensitivity at the selected wavelength.
