Reduce glare and mirror-like reflections while maintaining display clarity
AGAR film is an anti-glare film that also incorporates anti-reflective coating, combining glare diffusion with reflection reduction. It is designed to improve visibility on displays, touch panels, framed artworks and other glossy surfaces in bright indoor environments.
Two sheet types are available: MTAGAR with permanent adhesive for stable lamination, and JAGAR with low-tack adhesive for removable and repositionable applications.

What is the difference between MTAGAR and JAGAR?

MTAGAR uses a permanent acrylic-based PSA for stable, long-term lamination.
Once applied, it bonds firmly and is not designed to be removed.
JAGAR uses a silicone-based low-tack PSA, making it repositionable and removable — suitable for temporary use or applications where the film may need to be taken off without leaving residue.

Pure AR film (MTAR / JAR) reduces mirror-like reflection through optical interference, with near-zero haze. It is ideal for shop windows, showcases, and glass where see-through clarity is important.
AGAR film adds an anti-glare diffusion layer on top. This handles both specular reflection and diffuse glare from surrounding light sources, making it better suited for direct application to LCD displays, touch panels, and picture frames where the display surface is close to or in contact with the film.
Note: AGAR film is not suitable for shop windows, showcases, or glass with an air gap behind it. The diffusion layer causes the glass to appear hazy when there is space behind the surface, significantly reducing see-through clarity.

Both MTAGAR and JAGAR adhere well to glass and acrylic (PMMA). MTAGAR uses an acrylic-based PSA; JAGAR uses a silicone-based PSA.
Application to polycarbonate (PC) is not recommended due to outgassing, which can affect adhesion and optical clarity.
If application to PC is required, proceed at your own risk and conduct sufficient testing beforehand.
