No. Pict LaBox is designed to support gel imaging and cutting workflows under normal laboratory lighting conditions when used with a suitable transilluminator and camera setup.

A wide viewing window with a built-in SC56 filter supports clear observation and accurate gel cutting. Viewing from directly above helps cut even narrow bands.

Light-Blocking Structure

The tilted filter lets stray light escape toward the back and ceiling, while the camera door blocks light from the front. This structure helps improve image contrast.

Double Doors & Click-Hinge

The double-door structure makes gel handling easier. Click-lock damper hinges keep the door open during work and help block external light when closed.
