  Anti-Reflective / Anti-Glare Film & AR Acrylic Sheet

Anti-Reflective / Anti-Glare Film & AR Acrylic

Reduce Reflection. Improve Visibility.

Industrial-grade anti-reflective film, anti-glare / anti-reflective film, and AR acrylic sheets for displays, showcases, windows, monitor protection, and optical applications. Compatible with both glass and acrylic surfaces, and available from a single sheet with no minimum order.

AR film reduces reflected light at the surface to as low as 1/10, significantly improving visibility for displays, showcases, windows and objects. AGAR film combines anti-glare diffusion and anti-reflective performance. AR acrylic sheets provide a rigid, clear panel option for display covers, showcases, picture frames, and inspection windows.

FAQ — AR Film & AGAR Film

Q What is the difference between AR film and AGAR film?
A AR film reduces the mirror-like reflection you see on glass or acrylic surfaces. It works by optical interference in the coating layers, and is ideal for shop windows, showcases, and protective covers where you want clear, undistorted visibility through the surface. We offer both sheet type and roll type (indoor and outdoor).

AGAR film adds an anti-glare diffusion layer on top of anti-reflective properties, so it handles both reflection and harsh glare from direct light. It's designed for direct application to LCD displays, PC monitors, touch panels, and picture frames — surfaces where there's little or no air gap between the film and the display behind it. Because of the diffusion effect, AGAR film isn't a good fit for shop windows or showcases where see-through clarity matters.
Q Should AR film go on one side or both sides of the glass?
A For best results on free-standing glass or acrylic, apply to both sides. Untreated glass reflects about 5% per surface — both sides combined is around 10%. With AR film on both sides, that drops to roughly 1%. One-side application still helps, but you're leaving the other surface untreated.

For double-pane or triple-pane insulated glass, only the outer surfaces are accessible — the inner sealed surfaces can't be reached. That means some reflection from the inner panes will always remain, so AR film won't give you the full effect on this type of glass.
Q Can I use AR or AGAR film on a TV or PC display?
A Yes, depending on the display. Many modern panels are optically bonded internally, so there's effectively no air gap at the back of the cover surface — which means applying film to the front is enough. AGAR film is usually the better pick for displays since it handles glare too, not just reflection. Whether AR film is the right choice depends on your specific display, so feel free to contact us and we can advise.
Q What sizes and types are available?
A AR Film comes as pre-cut sheets (MTAR / JAR) and rolls in 1220 mm or 1500 mm widths — indoor type (SGAR) for interior use, and outdoor type (UVAR) for weather-exposed surfaces. AGAR Film is available as sheets with either permanent adhesive (MTAGAR) or low-tack adhesive (JAGAR). Sheet types can be ordered from a single sheet. Roll types have a minimum order of 2 m.
