IR cut filter (cold fiter) transmit
visible rays and cut IR rays

With high transparency (achieved with dielectric multilayer vapor deposition coating)
it enables to capture high contrast gel documentation image by eliminating background glow or it can protects polarizer from the heat exposure when placed in front of a 3D projector.
